The greatest thing you can do in your life, AND the hardest thing to do in your life, is to push yourself. Push yourself beyond the self-imposed limits you have grown accustomed to, those that have become a source of comfort to you. If you are feeling comfortable with where you are today, maybe its time to kick it up a notch. (Yours truly included) We tend to grow comfortable in settle rather than seek greatness.
One way that we do this, seek comfort rather than greatness, is by surrounding ourselves with people that tell us what we want to hear. People that hear, talk, think, walk, like we do. Surrounding yourself with peeps like this provides good reason for us to go around patting ourselves on the back. Patting yourself on the back has it’s place, after you have left your comfort zone! Do you want to do better or be comfortable? No, if you want to do better you must acquire true friends through positive relationships, those that challenge you in every area of your life. A friend can be a coach, a spouse, or a business partner. Positive relationships hold us to a higher standard, challenge us to be better, take us to a level we only dreamed we could reach. These type of relationships take time and nurturing. If you do not have that in your life today make it a goal.
Today start with where you are, be your own best friend, be honest with where you are. Are you really where you want to be? I bet not. Stop talking the same old talk. There is one week left in this year, Stop thinking about it and figure it out. If you did not hit your goals is 2012, why not? What is it you need to do different? If you don’t know, find someone that will tell ya, find someone that challenges you, thatis where you will find your success! Healthy positive friends are the ones that are honest and will tear down your self-imposed limits. If someone is not telling you what you want to hear…..maybe you outta listen. I have gotten far greater places by the sass created when someone told me something I didn’t want to hear. Listen to what they have to say, then get your sass to the gym!
